It’s been a busy few weeks for Regent Brass. Following our successful concert ‘An English Autumn’ which was held last weekend, we are currently preparing our entertainment programme of music for the annual Wychavon Entertainment Contest, which is being held on Saturday, 3rd November. We are delighted to announce that we will not only be presenting an entertainment programme in the First Section contest, but that in addition we will also be challenging ourselves against tough opposition in the Championship section – where the potential rewards include qualification to the Spring Festival in Blackpool…

We can promise some fantastic entertainment choices, specifically a very special trombone feature in the Championship contest…. if you want to hear it, you’ll have to come along to the contest!

Regent have also had some very exciting news…

For the first time in our history, and on our return to the Championship Section in January, the band will be competing in the top section at the Butlins Mineworkers Brass Band contest, which us held at the Butlins resort, Skegness on 12th and 13th January, 2019. The contest is over two days, with a set test piece (from a choice of 3 available) on the first day, and an entertainment programme on the 2nd day. The band is delighted that we are able to compete in such an important event and look forward to putting London on the map on the national stage once again.

Don’f forget to follow the band on Facebook, Twitter and our brand new Instagram feed for all the very latest news from us!
