Due to planned industrial action, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone our planned concert ‘Tributes and Dedications’ to the later date of Sunday 8th October. The concert will proceed on this date as planned and tickets purchased will remain valid. This event promises to be a very special one, with a number of pieces on the programme which are rarely performed, including “Salford Toccata” by Sir Harrison Birtwistle, “Ragtimes and Habaneras” by Hans Werner Henze and “Worker’s Union” by Louis Andreissen. We will also perform James Chan’s “At the Gates” with cellist Lucy Neill and the world premiere of “Eris and Harmonia” by young composer in residence Franklin Tobenna Onyeso. Not to be missed!
