The Regent Bands are looking forward to welcoming Sarah Groarke-Booth to a workshop event to be held on Sunday, 12th March at the home of Regent Brass – Chalk Farm Salvation Army. The session will focus on the upcoming London and Southern Counties Regional Finals and the two test pieces being prepared.
First up, Regent Brass will spend some time working through the musical challenges presented by Phil Lawrence’s imaginative score ‘A day in the life of a knight’. After this, Regent Community Brass will work with Sarah on their regional challenge, Stephen Bulla’s popular ‘Chorale and Toccata’ which is proving to be a tough test of Third Section bands.
Both bands will present their Test Piece performances in a short concert from 6pm which is free to attend, and we look forward to seeing you there!
