Regent Community Brass was formed in 2012 as an expansion to the Regent Brass banding family. The band was under the direction of Chris Bearman from 2014-2021. Simon Tong has taken over the position of Musical Director in 2022.
We are an enthusiastic and welcoming group who enjoy playing a varied and entertaining repertoire accessible to both player and listener alike. Our schedule has a focus on community events; we are to be found regularly on Queen’s Park bandstand over the summer months and giving concerts in local churches throughout the year. On top of this, we also compete actively on the brass band contesting scene at home and abroad. We have recently been promoted to the 3rd section of the National Brass Band Championships. The band will also be making our debut performance at the Wychavon entertainment contest in November.
