The band was delighted to perform with the Enfield Town Band on 25th Feburary for the first time in a lively and varied concert at St Aldenham’s Church in Edmonton. The event was made all the more demanding for Regent solo cornet player Steve Gaskell as, in addition to playing with the band, he is also the long standing principal cornet player with Enfield! 2012 begins with usual preparation for the L&SC Area Contest.  This years test piece is Derek Bourgeois “Devil and the Deep Blue Sea”, quite a challenge. 2 weeks back, 2 full rehearsals, some new faces, some old faces, all enthusiastic getting back into the swing of things.
