Coventry Brass Festival Solo Contest

On 30th June, the bands’ solo trombonist, Tetsuro Okamura, travelled to Coventry to compete at the 3rd City of Coventry and Warwickshire brass festival. Competing in the Open Slow Melody section against a strong field of experienced soloists, Tetsu came 2nd overall with a very musical performance. The Boat Project Margate

On Sat 14th July, members of Regent Brass participated in the Log Book concert in Margate, as part of “The Boat Project”. “The Boat Project is a living archive of people’s stories and lives, a 30ft vessel made from donated wooden items. Personnel Update

Regent are pleased to announce that David Quinlan has moved onto Soprano Cornet after a spell of 18 months on Principal Cornet.  On Bb Bass, the band is also pleased to welcome Morgan Hollis who has recently moved to London after studying at Warwick University.
