Regent Community Brass Entertain on the Southbank

Regent Community Brass performed their first engagement of the summer on Sunday 25th August on the South Bank. Performing in front of the Royal Festival Hall with the beautiful backdrop of the River Thames, the band played as part of the Southbank Centre’s “Village Fair” to a large and appreciative audience. Capital Connection

On 16th December, members of the band traveled to Ruislip to perform alongside the fantastic Capital Connection choir at their Christmas concert for the first time. Due to space restrictions in the venue, a reduced 10-piece ensemble performed a short programme of music and accompanied the choir and audience singing several Christmas carols. The choir, lead by Debi Cox, performed a very diverse range of pieces with great energy and panache, which really showed off their talents as a Barbershop Harmony ensemble.…

Festive Brass 2012

The band made the trip to Twickenham on 14th December to perform at “Festive Brass”, their annual concert with the Richmond Youth Brass Band and Fulham Brass Band. The evening saw a very receptive audience turn out to hear the bands perform a mix of music and in particular highlighted the development of the young musicians at the Richmond Youth Brass Band, which is directed by Vickie Curran who is Regent Brass’ Flugelhorn player. Successful Joint Concert

On Friday 7th December, the band held its first Christmas concert at the Church of the Ascension in Wembley, where the band also rehearses. This particular evening was a real milestone however as it was the first time both Regent Brass and Regent Community Brass had performed alongside each other since the latter’s formation in June 2012.
