Regent Ready to Return – and a new home

Regent Brass are delighted to announce that our band rehearsals are returning, from Thursday 3rd June 2021. We are also delighted to announce that we have a new rehearsal venue – The Salvation Army Church – Chalk Farm, at 10-16 Haverstock Hill, Chalk Farm, London NW3 2BL. Regular rehearsals will continue on Thursday evenings with baton down at 1930 with extras as needed. Players are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for essential COVID monitoring. Alan Duguid is confirmed as the new Musical Director of Regent Brass with immediate effect. Alan is a Scottish conductor and composer, based in London. A native of Aberdeen, Alan attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Alan has worked with a number of bands in the UK and overseas, including the Aveley and Newham Band, Bon-Accord Silver Band, Redbridge Brass, Aarhus Brass Band and Tokyo Brass Accord. Musical Director changes for Regent Brass

Paul Archibald has announced that he will be relinquishing his day to day role as Musical Director of Regent Brass to teach in Thailand as Head of Woodwind and Brass, Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok. Paul will remain connected to the band as Musical Director Emeritus, and he plans to return to London frequently outside of term times.
